What you are looking at
The numbers above are your public IPv4 and, when the connection has it, IPv6 — the addresses this site (or a family-specific lookup) saw for your request. They are assigned by your ISP (or mobile carrier), not by SpeedMetric. Phones and laptops on the same home Wi-Fi usually share one public IPv4 through the router. IPv4 and IPv6
Dual-stack connections have both an IPv4 address (four decimal numbers) and an IPv6 address (longer hex). We look each version up separately, because a single request can only use one family. If one side says "not available," this network did not answer on that version — that is common on IPv4-only Wi-Fi. Neither version is a speed rating.
IP vs internet speed

Common questions
What is my IP address used for?
Your public IP is how servers send data back to your connection. It is not a password and it is not your exact street address. ISPs and websites see it the same way they see any other visitor.
Can I hide my public IP?
A VPN or some privacy relays replace the address sites see with the VPN’s address. That also changes the network path, so a speed test through a VPN is measuring the VPN route, not your raw ISP path.
Is my IP the same as my internet speed?
No. An IP identifies the connection. Speed is how fast data moves on that path. Measure speed with a dedicated test; use this page only to see the address.
